The D-Base concept is mentioned to show the styling of the upcoming-generation Daihatsu Mira kei car, which is known in Japan as one of the most fuel-efficient cars. Daihatsu has Described the D-Base is a “proposal for a new small car” and is going to be shown “to express the spirit of modernization in the next generation of environment-friendly vehicles”.
To fulfill kei car requirements and regulations, it is 3.4 meters in length, 1.48 meters in width and 1.49 metres in height and powered by a 660cc three-cylinder powerful engine. Fuel efficiency, which is enlarged by reproductive braking, is surely said to be 94.1mpg on the Japanese test cycle.
Daihatsu is presenting three van concepts built to kei car regulations, called Hinata, Tempo and Noriori too. All are on the same front-drive platform and are built to Trunk the amount of space that can be found in such a compact vehicle.
